About our school
We are a civil educational institution comprising of primary and middle school based in Gdansk, Poland.
Our school is a part of the nation wide network of STO ( Civic Educational Association ) schools. The association has been established to create an alternative to state school system, while offering the national curriculum.
Our establishment is relatively small. We have 190 students aged 6 – 15 and 35 people strong staff. One of the key objectives of our educational mission is teaching languages. We offer English, German and French. English language education in our school begins at the pre-school level with three hours a week to gradually reach the number of five hours a week in 4th grade and on.
International Exchange Programs
We are interested in cooperating with a foreign school in a Socrates Comenius language program. We strongly believe that the exchange programs are excellent tools in motivating and enhancing our students’ linguistic development. Both parents and management of the school are very supportive of the exchange idea. The school has previously participated successfully in the Hansa exchange project. However, the school management has decided to look for new means of implementing our educational policy through E-twinning, Młodzież w działaniu and Socrates Comenius programs. We would either like to join an existing program as a partner school or act as a coordinating school with counterparts of similar ideas.
Our main goal in participating in the exchange project is communication and presenting our students with an opportunity to use English and other foreign languages in real life situations. The subject/theme of the program is also important to us, but as a partner school we are willing to consider all suitable proposals e.g. in the fields of cultural diversity, environmental protection etc. We believe that this cooperation will prove to be mutually beneficial for both students and teachers of the two parties involved. We have plenty to offer due to our location in the heart of the vibrant 1000 - year - old city, a part of the coastal metro area of TriCity with population of nearly one million people.
